WK LED Cabin Light Install

Ok, here you guys go. How to convert all the cabin lights to LED's. I need to get this part out of the way by saying that this install worked for me. The wire colors mentioned MAY differ in your vehicle, but it should be all the same, same goes with the pins on some of the light units. It's always a good idea to use a meter to check voltages and polarities. Unlike my mentality, it's also a good idea to check each light after intalling each one to make sure that it functions properly. This will prevent you from having to tear it all back apart to troubleshoot should you have a short somewhere. It is highly recommended that you pull the fuse for the cabin lights when working on them to prevent bodily injury cause from sparks flying, possibly in your eyes causing blindness or permanent eye damage. Take all precautionary measures according to your abilities. Remember, I would not wear metal jewelry such as rings and watches when working on a cars electrical system. Ask my dad when he crossed the poles of a starter with his watch and ended up with a very nasty burn all the way around his wrist. He's an electrical engineer, it can happen to anyone. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of these procedures and your actual experience, nor do I take any responsibility for any damage done to your vehicle or yourself by following any of these procedures. These procedures are not 100% step by step. These were put together for people who have a basic knowledge of working on cars and getting inside interior panels. If you do not posess the skills necessary to comfortably do this yourself, I highly recommend calling a friend to help. Oh, and I am not your FRIEND. Just kidding.

Grab some bandaids, keep your kids away and be prepared to cuss. By the way, the insualtion in the rear hatch or above the headliner does appear to be made out of some fiberglass material. So also be prepared for itchy fingers. Seriously, I didn't need any bandaids until I was messing with the fuse box area and dropped the damn fuse back in there somewhere. While poking around in there looking for it, I found a lot of sharp objects back there. Anyway, take the bottom cover off and work with the fuses from that direction, not through the dropdown cover under the steering wheel.

If you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them and you can send me an email at bmaine@gmail.com. I used White Superflux LEDs from http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux. Thanks Autofetch for the great idea's and link to Oznium!
