Something I always thought was odd was the wierd shadows in the lens that looked really home made bad. Now that I got it open, I can see what it is. There's a second "reflector" over the light which I believe to be a heat shield so the brighter bulb in this unit doesn't melt the plastic. This can be safely pulled and left out forever giving you a better looking light!
